Offspring x Asics Gel Lyte V 20th Anniversary “Cobbled streets” Part 2.

Drawing inspiration from the cobble-stone streets and famous Piazza responsible for erecting the very first Offspring store, Asics is presenting the second of the two-part “20th anniversary” collaboration with the UK footwear retailer.

Using one of Asics most popular silhouettes, the Gel Lyte V, Offspring chose to use a rich grey suede and nubuck combination, to replicate the cobbled stones streets that pave the novel Covent Garden market place today, and the lining nods towards the original 1996 Offspring branding colour palette with bespoke cobbled street sock liners. Just like part 1 of the collaboration, the personal finishing touch comes in the form of an Asics stamp and Japanese symbol =+ (meaning 20) on the sock and lace tips, giving subtle references to the Japanese heritage of Asics.

The Offspring x Asics GLV “Cobbled streets” part 2 is set to drop in July 2016.
