NBA Crossover Exhibition, London.

Basketball is more than just a sport, it is a culture. This statement is even more relevant when it comes to the NBA., with all the influences from fashion, music, and street culture. Over the years, the NBA players have become more than athletes, they are now public figures, fashion icons and some of the most influential people in the world. The NBA is now presenting its latest project to reflect its history, and show how different aspects of its heritage have impacted the beautiful game of basketball.

Visionarism was invited to the exhibition opening party on Thursday 27th October, along with other media and special guests. The event, sponsored by Foot Locker, was full of surprises starting with a performance from British rapper Santandave and an early preview of the first lifestyle apparel collaboration between the NBA and Foot Locker. We then had to opportunity to meet the 2 times MVP and 8 times NBA All Star Steve Nash, and filmmaker Thibaut De Longeville, during a private Q&A session hosted by former NBA player John Amaechi.

The exhibition is open to public from Friday 28th until Sunday 30th of October at Kachette in Shoreditch, East London. Scroll down to get a taste of what to expect from the showing.
