Founded in 2009 by Guillaume Phillibert (@gsrnn), Filling Pieces has been constantly innovating in their style, being cautious of the brands and people they associate their name with. We have seen Filling Pieces collaborate with brands such as United Arrows & Sons, Bodega, Kith, and the Amsterdam based footwear label has now joined forces with Puma to create a unique product, combining the DNAs from both brands: the Blaze of Glory Strap. Its name could be quite self explanatory, but there is a lot more to just adding a strap to the Puma classic from 1993.
By willing to bridge the gap between sport sneakers and luxury sneakers, FP came up with a design featuring a black base on a deconstructed and rebuilt Puma BoG. Using its founder’s architectural background, FP managed to create a high-end shoe with material and details which make this collaboration stand out. From the strap to the toes caps, the details came from FP’s best collections. The final product is very well executed, and we can see how well the two brands worked together.
This luxury version of an icon within the sneaker culture will hit retailers on Saturday, July 30th.
